The Boston Chapter of Women in Public Finance is currently accepting applications from women interested in serving on the Board of Directors for a term of three years, beginning January 1, 2026. Boston Chapter of Women in Public Finance - Who We Are

The Boston Chapter of Women in Public Finance, Inc. is a 501(C)(6) non-profit organization for women in the public finance industry in the Greater Boston area. Founded in 2010, we provide educational and professional networking events throughout the year.

The Boston Chapter of Women in Public Finance is 100% funded by sponsors. We are a chapter of the national organization, Women in Public Finance, which was founded in 1997 in Chicago, and has since expanded nationally. Participants in the national and regional groups include state and local government issuers, investment bankers, commercial bankers, attorneys, corporate trust providers, financial advisors, nonprofits, rating agency analysts, and bond insurers.

“To support and advance the careers of women in public finance by fostering relationships, providing networking opportunities, and offering educational industry-related events.”

Board Member Responsibilities

The responsibilities of Board Members include the following:

-              Attendance and active participation at bi-monthly board meetings (typically held virtually, but some meetings are held in person)

-              Attendance and active participation at virtual committee meetings (typically held every 1-2 months or as needed).  Each board member must serve on at least one committee.  The committees include programming, membership, communication and governance

-              Attend majority of Boston WPF sponsored events
